PAVMT is launching a membership platform of services and collaborative partnerships designed to meet the professional needs of all PAs in telemedicine

In response to the disruptive influence of the COVID-19 pandemic on the in-person provision of healthcare, PAVMT (https://www.pavmt.org/) is launching their official membership platform providing PAs in telehealth with a wide range of member benefits. With a mission to serve all PAs and PA students in telehealth, PAVMT aims to serve as an aggregator and connector of the PA profession to all things telehealth. The timing could not be more auspicious as PAVMT’s mission to educate, advocate for and support PAs in telehealth has never been more urgently needed.

“The pandemic has required the US healthcare system to rapidly pivot from offering traditional in-person services to providing safe and effective telehealth services,” said Amanda Shelley, PA-C President-Elect of the PAVMT. “The PA profession was born of a revolutionary notion of service to others and we’re proud to carry on that tradition of innovation as telemedicine takes center stage in healthcare delivery”.

“The response to the launch of the enhanced PAVMT site has been truly remarkable,” said Desmond Watt PA-C, current President of the PAVMT Board. “We’ve been overwhelmed by the response from PAs across the country. They’re hungry for the enhanced resources that PAVMT can now offer and for the peer to peer relationships that PAVMT can foster.”

At the time of their platform launch, membership benefits include an array of resources and strategic corporate partnerships for a practicing PA in telehealth, including malpractice (CM&F), telemedicine platform vendor (OnCall.MD), licensing (BlocHealth), credentialing and business management (Healthcare Experience, LLC), and PA-focused business consulting (Certified PA Consultants).

PAVMT is supported in partnership with Enforme, Inc and its Association Incubator Program. “The Incubator Program was devised with associations such as PAVMT in mind,” said Kevin Fitzpatrick PA, President and CEO of Enforme. “Enforme’s Incubator program is essentially venture software that allows newly forming associations to rapidly scale without significant upfront costs”.
